Administrative Supervisor (Part time)

Job Description

Theatre Street Performing Arts Ltd is a busy and growing not-for-profit organisation for children and young people based at The Link in Abbey Wood, London SE2. We run dance classes and Stage School for young people after school and at weekends receiving up to 400 visits a week from our students.

We are seeking a new part-time team member to become an integral part of the running of our organisation; the successful applicant will take the role of Administrator dealing with dance school fees, payments, registrations, enquiries and so on.

Our chosen candidate will need to be an intelligent, articulate and literate person with enthusiasm for how organisations can be run efficiently and effectively and be capable of working autonomously and with initiative and intelligence, dealing with customers face to face as well as working with administrative systems and software related to a busy performing arts school.

No experience in the field of dance or performing arts is necessary – we are seeking someone who perhaps has experience working in an office environment but who can be sensitive to the nuanced approach to a particular kind of organisation.  You must be someone who can accept a high degree of responsibility, work to deadlines, have a keen eye for detail and be able to work well with others.

We are interested to hear from young adults, graduates or indeed more mature applicants with experience and the enthusiasm to become an integral part of a small but dynamic team.

Salary:

Hourly rate available on application.

Hours:

This job will require the employee to work unusual hours, being between the hours of 4pm and 8pm (with some flexibility) on four (Tues-Fri) days a week, again with some flexibility. This will primarily be during school term time and usual hours will not occur during school holidays, although other hours may develop during school holidays and during the daytimes.

Café Supervisor (Part time)

Job Description

TSPA College is a growing sixth form college based at The Link with students aged 16-19 who are studying performing arts full time, Tues-Friday. We are seeking a new team member to run our lunchtime Café when we expand our premises in September 2017.

We are looking for someone reliable, trustworthy and able to work semi-autonomously who would like a part time job during the day - so a mum or dad with children at school would be ideally suited, or even someone retired who wants a part time position, or a student who studies in the evenings – who will oversee the lunchtime period at our new onsite Café at the college, dealing with refreshments and food for our students.

The chosen candidate will be conscientious when it comes to hygiene and food preparation and will be responsible for meeting all rules & regulations pertaining to standards, hygiene and cleanliness etc, plus the day to day running and stocking of the Café etc. Some experience and certainly aptitude for food preparation an advantage, but this is not a gourmet restaurant: this is a practical college and performing arts centre Café with a great atmosphere and the applicant should be friendly, reliable, trustworthy, punctual and reliable.

We are seeking someone who would like to seize this opportunity to build the Café into a thriving enterprise as we welcome more and more students and visitors into TSPA, so there is scope for this job to develop and grow over time.

Salary:

Hourly rate available on application

Hours:

There is some flexibility which can be discussed, but we are working on the idea of 12.00-2.00pm daily to start with, these hours will be developed as the Café becomes busy and we can build the Café team. Regular hours will be during school term time, but other hours will be available during school holidays.
